Robert Hunt AM - Chairman
Qualification: FAICD
Experience: A founding board member of Lead On Australia in 1999. Rob was appointed CEO of *Bendigo Building Society in 1988 and MD in 1990 (*Bendigo Bank from July 1995). Under his leadership, Bendigo Bank has gained wide respect from all sectors of the community and industry for its proactive response to contemporary issues. Rob holds numerous
directorship in the corporate sector, and is involved in a number of community organisations and enterprises - including St Luke's Anglicare,
Bendigo Stock Exchange, Community Telco Australia and Community Sector Banking. He is a member of the Prime Minister's Community
Business Partnership, the Victorian Government's Innovation Economy Advisory Board, the Business Council of Australia and has recently been asked to join LaTrobe University's Bendigo Regional Advisory Board.
Rob was named 1999 Bendigo Citizen of the Year, and was awarded Member of the Order of Australia (General Division) in 2002.

Denis Higgins - Director
Qualification: Master of Education
Experience: Appointed a board member in 1999. Denis has vast experience in senior educational leadership positions, sporting organizations and charitable
/welfare organizations. He is the Director of Catholic Education, Diocese of Sandhurst and executive member of the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria. Denis is a Director of Regional One Credit Union and Co-Director
of Feathertop Chalet, Harrietville.

Ann Jones - Director
Experience:

Appointed a board member in 1999. Ann was representative of Diamond Hill ward for the Greater Bendigo Council from 1996 - 2002. She has owned and operated her own business for 14 years. Ann is the Chairperson for CVGT Employment Specialists and New Years Eve Committee and a member of the Bendigo Mining Advisory Committee. Ann is involved in a number of community based organisations including: Guides Australia, BPW (Business & Professional Women), Bendigo South Progress Association & Heart Beat Bendigo.


Steve Stubberfield - Director
Qualification: CPA (FPS) Bac. Bus
Experience: Appointed a board member in 1999. Steve is an accountant/financial planner at Stubberfield Partners in Echuca. Steve is a life member of Apex. He is on the Board for the Echuca Entertainment and Sporting Complex & CVGT. He has established a performing arts and cinema complex in Echuca in partnership with the Campaspe Shire.

Ian Castles - Director
Qualification: Fellow of Taxation Institute of Australia
Member of National Institute of Accountants
Experience:

Appointed a board member in 2001. Ian is a Director of Bendigo Toyota, Midland Highway Epsom. He has had extensive business management experience as a consultant, board member and business proprietor. He was formerly a partner in AFS and Associates accounting firm.


Jean Wright - Director
Experience: Appointed a board member in 2001. Jean is the Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of the Bendigo Bank. Jean is conversant with and extremely supportive of Bendigo Bank's many community focused initiatives. Jean is a strong advocate for Community and for young people and their ability to contribute to the social capital of our country.

Michael Galvin - Director
Experience: Appointed a board member 2005. Michael is currently completing the third year of his medical degree with Monash University, at the Bendigo Hospital. Michael was among the first group of young people to participate with Lead On in late 1999 while a year 10 students at Flora Hill Secondary College. His involvement with Lead On projects led to Michael becoming a member of Lead On Bendigo’s first Youth Advisory Board – the structure developed to ensure projects undertaken were relevant and worthwhile for the young participants. Michael has chosen Bendigo to undertake his studies based on his connection with the community established through his Lead On participation.

Felicia Carboon - Director
Experience:

Appointed a board member 2005. Felicia is a journalist with The Advertiser, Bendigo. She grew up in Bendigo and took part in early Lead On Bendigo projects from 1999. At 16, she was a key driver behind the establishment of the ongoing Loop newspaper supplement with the Advertiser in Bendigo and was the initial editor
of Loop and a member of the original Lead On Bendigo Youth Advisory Board. After completing her VCE in 2001, she moved to Swan Hill to start a cadetship with The Guardian newspaper. There, she was a member of the steering committee to establish Lead On in Swan Hill and continued Lead On project involvement and
mentoring. Late in 2004, after receiving her qualification as a journalist, she returned to Bendigo to take up a position at The Advertiser.

Tom Hall
Tom is a 20 year old graphic designer/graphic design student currently studying the Bachelor of Design - Communication Design course at RMIT University in Melbourne, Victoria. Tom has also benefited from a long running connection with Lead On and worked on visual communication projects with a number of clients through the help of Lead On.
